Non-executive Chairman,
Ian Livingstone has over 30
years’ experience in the industry. In 1975, he co-founded Games Workshop
Ltd and launched Dungeons and Dragons in Europe as well as The Games
Workshop retail chain. In 1982, he co-wrote the first in a series of
Fighting Fantasy interactive game books that sold over 15 million
copies. In 1992, Ian became Deputy Chairman of Domark and was
instrumental in the merger and flotation of Domark with technology
company Eidos, being appointed Executive Chairman of the new entity
Eidos plc in 1995 and subsequently Creative Director in 2002. His
outstanding creative contribution to the industry has been recognised by
the award of a BAFTA in 2002 as well as an appointment as Creative
Industries advisor to the British Council in 2003 and being made a
Creative Industries Luminary for London in 2004. Ian is also the
Non-Executive Chairman of Bright Things plc. |

Chief Executive Officer, Jeremy Heath Smith
founded CiRCLE Studio in 2003. He also founded Core Design as a Software Developer in 1988.
Jeremy's 25 years in the games
industry span the whole spectrum of the business from development to commercial
and publishing management. Jeremy transitioned Core into a Software Publisher in
1990 and in 1994 sold to CentreGold plc, being appointed to the board of this
major UK publisher.
Core Design is best known for the creation of the icon Lara Croft and the Tomb
Raider series of games. The first Tomb Raider title was released in 1996 and the
series has sold over 30 million units to date. Jeremy served as Executive
Producer on the two Paramount Hollywood Tomb Raider blockbuster movies starring
Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.
In 1996 CentreGold was acquired by Eidos plc. Jeremy was appointed to the main
board as an Executive Director whilst remaining MD of Core. He was subsequently
appointed Eidos Global Development Director in 2000; here he gained unique
insight into international publishing and founded the Eidos Publishing
Committee.
In January 2003 Jeremy’s contribution to the games industry and highly regarded
international profile was recognized by the University of Derby through the
award of an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration. |

Chief Operating Officer,
Martin Carr has a broad depth
of commercial, managerial and development experience within the
games/entertainment industry that spans some nineteen years and is
combined with an exceptional track record of delivering successful
commercial properties to the market. As co–founder of Hothouse Creations
(UK independent software developer) in 1996, Carr forged strong links
with leading international publishers and television companies. His
vision to deliver brands as compelling interactive experiences resulted
in Hothouse’s production of smash hit, record-breaking licensed games
such as ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’, ‘Pop Idol’ and ‘American Idol’
across PC and console formats.
Martin was invited to join CiRCLE in September 2004 in order to enhance
expertise within the existing senior management team, to build and
develop business and revenue opportunities with clients across the
industry, whilst also steering the ongoing identification and evaluation
of new areas of growth for CiRCLE. |

Chief Financial Officer,
Ian Neal, FCA, CTA has 24
years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser.
In 1992, Ian became Finance Director of Microlex plc through to it's
trade sale for £18M to CMG plc. Ian acted on behalf of Core Design
Limited from its inception in 1988 to the trade sale to CentreGold plc
in 1994. Since 2003, Ian has been instrumental in the development of
CiRCLE and joined the Board in July 2005. |

Managing Director,
Adrian Smith has 15 years experience in game software
development and management. He was previously Operations Director for
Core Design and responsible for the creative and technical aspects of
the portfolio of all games produced by the company, including the
ground-breaking Tomb Raider series. Within Eidos he served as a key
member of the Publishing Committee that was responsible for evaluation,
final selection and overall group product strategy.
Adrian’s role at CiRCLE involves him in all aspects of the company’s
game development, direction and technology strategy He oversees the
company’s teams of programmers, artists, animators and designers and
also plays a key role within publisher and hardware manufacturer
relationships. |

Non-executive Director,
Geoffrey Heath's multi-media career began in the music
industry, working with famous writers including John Lennon and Paul
McCartney. He was responsible for guiding media company ATV into music
publishing and for building up a catalogue that was eventually sold to
Michael Jackson for £60 million. His outstanding services to music were
recognised with the industry’s highest accolade: the Ivor Novello Award.
Geoff moved into the computer and video games industry with American
company Activision some 25 years ago, before establishing Mindscape
International in 1988. This company was acquired by Pearson PLC for £300
million in April 1994. Geoff has served on the Boards of various US and
UK multimedia companies; he is currently Chairman of the Climax Group,
CEO of NCsoft Europe and is an adviser to Image Metrics. Geoff joined
CiRCLE in 2005.
