London, UK, 24th January 2006 – Hill & Knowlton today announces
that is has been appointed by CiRCLE as its PR agency in the UK.
CiRCLE is an independent software developer and publisher
specialising in DVD games based on well known sports, media and
entertainment brands. Titles typically feature hundreds of randomised
trivia and general knowledge questions based on video clips, pictures,
audio and sound. The games are designed to test players’ knowledge in an
entertaining environment, often including mini-games and puzzles to add
to the interactive experience.
Having already sold over 400,000 units of their first title ‘Now That’s
What I Call A Music Quiz’, outstripping all other DVD games released in
2005, CiRCLE is heading for a bumper 2006 after securing licensing for
other mainstream titles including 2006 FIFA World Cup™, The Discovery
Channel, Discovery Kids, Eurosport, NBA and CSI.
Hill & Knowlton will be responsible for driving awareness and promotion
of these titles, immediately beginning an aggressive consumer relations
campaign for the first releases due in April this year.
Susie Hamilton, PR & Marketing Manager of CiRCLE said: “We believe Hill
& Knowlton has the right expertise and resources to create awareness and
place CiRCLE at the forefront of the consumer’s minds. We were looking
for an agency who not only understood the market, but could understand
the brand and drive awareness, something that H&K demonstrated very
well, both in their thinking and overall strategy. We feel that H&K has
the passion and understanding to position CiRCLE and our properties as
market leaders.
Sam Clark, Managing Director of Hill & Knowlton’s Consumer Tech &
Entertainment team said: “With our ever growing experience in the
entertainment market, we are delighted with the addition of CiRCLE. It
